Fire Alarms

Fires kill thousands of people in the US each year. Studies show that people die from toxic gases rather than from the fire itself. A working fire alarm could prevent a high percentage of these deaths.

If you do have a fire alarm, it is important to maintain it. Although a good portion of homes and businesses may have smoke detectors, it is believed that at least 25% do not work because of missing batteries, age of detectors or smoke chambers that are dirty or insect infested.
